Quelling The Insurgency is a multi part level 1 mission for Amarr Empire.
The mission can be started in any of the three Amarr Empire data centers.
The mission chain will reward the player with one random +3% hardwiring implant and Amarr Empire faction standings.
The mission chain can be completed only once. Failed mission can not be attempted again. But the missions themselves are fairly easy - as long as you pay attention and don't let the offered or accepted missions expire, they can be done without too much of a hassle. The missions are easy enough for a brand new player in their first frigate to complete them without problems.
The Graduation Certificate (Amarr)
Type | Courier |
Objective | Retrieve 1 x Amarr Graduation Certificate (0.1m³) |
Rewards | Amarr Graduation Certificate (signed) and faction standing |
Mission briefing |
---|
The colleague that I mentioned, Arizam Gimit, requires your graduation certificate before he'll offer you work. I suppose you've left it behind at your hangar somewhere? If not I can easily have a copy of it made on Andrub VI - Ministry of War Bureau Offices. Just pick it up there and bring it to me. Once I've signed it then you're all set to speak with Arizam. |
This is the starting mission for Quelling The Insurgency mission chain. This mission can be requested from three agents (Hefaka Chubid, Sevan Fagided, and Shafra Gulias) and thus can be completed three times. The ISK value of the reward is low, but it also awards faction standing. Note that the faction standing awarded is for Khanid Kingdom, which has little impact on your standing with Amarr Empire.
The mission is simple: fetch one unsigned certificate from a nearby station and the agent will sign it for you. The signed certificate is needed to get the next mission from Arizam Gimit.
License To Fly (prequel)

Unless you've been sent here by one of my subordinates, I have nothing for you. If you're interested, you can find them in the Data Centers in Kudi, Polfaly and Ferira.

You need to hand in the Amarr Graduation Certificate (signed) from The Graduation Certificate mission.

The Khanid Insurgency are rebels who want to topple the Khanid government and install one that'd be more inclined to start a war with the Amarr. They are led by an old, crazed hag going by the name of Deza Yobili. She claims to have been 'wronged' by the Khanid Monarchy, because as part of an exchange deal we handed her husband to the Amarr authorities in return for a group of Khanid citizens that had been illegally held in Amarr prisons. Her husband was nothing more than a murderer, and yet some misguided souls within the Kingdom view him as a martyr. It's a rather sad ordeal, all in all.
We are doing everything we can to stop Deza and her cronies, but she keeps eluding our grasp. And their numbers refuse to drop, which is why we have started taking extra measures to quell this uprising attempt before it gets out of hand. Now here is where you come in. One of my servants, Ziona Koon, went missing while she was posing as a student for the Royal Amarr Institute in Emrayur. The last I heard of her she was on to something. She left a report in her quarters in Emrayur, and I would like to retrieve that report to figure out what happened to her. Please retrieve this report for me. Deza Yobili Deza's youngest son, Abarak Yobili, was imprisoned by the Khanid government for ‘causing civil unrest', when he led a demonstration against the newly rejuvenated Khanid – Amarr alliance. Deza is the figurehead in a persistent movement to oust the current monarch of the Khanid Kingdom, and to sever their ties with the Empire once more. They are still greatly outnumbered and opposed by the majority of the Khanid nobility, but even so they are considered a threat and the Khanid monarch is eager to eradicate this thorn from his side. |

I've briefly skimmed over it. The report mentions that Ziona had found a suspicious fellow who claimed to offer her a job inside the Khanid Kingdom. He told her to meet her at a rendezvous point in Emrayur, where he would go over the details. She was to bring all of her credentials along with her. This certainly sounds like an undercover operation of some sort. Maybe we've hit the jackpot!
I want you to fly to Emrayur and investigate the rendezvous point. I am afraid something may have happened to Ziona, since she hasn't been in contact with me for many days. Perhaps she left some clues as to where they took her. |

Turn out that the marine has certain weaknesses, and has received very little anti-interrogation training. The clock is ticking, but there may be a way for us to extract data from him in a rather more humane way than I had originally intended.
I'd like you to look for some ... helpful products on the market, as I haven't the time to see to those matters. Think of it as some time off from the more dangerous tasks that I have in store for you. |
Buy some spirits off the market. It is not unusual for there to be an overpriced sell order in the same station if you are impatient.
Quelling The Insurgency (4 of 5)
Type | Courier |
Objective | Retrieve Choonka's Coordinates (0.1m³) |
Rewards | ISK |
Mission briefing |
---|
I think I've found our lead. According to the prisoner, the man we're after is Mamin Choonka. He runs a diner in Ashab, at the moon of Ashab II to be exact. It offers a hefty discount to students of the academy, hence it's quite popular among their ranks.
I want you to pay him a visit. But don't go in with guns flaring, I want you to get to know him. Tell him you just graduated from the academy, and let's hope he tries to convert you to his cause. If all goes well, he will offer you a place within the Khanid insurgency. Perhaps that will lead us to one of their bases, or even better Deza Yobili. It's hard to pin Choonka down, so I won't give you a bookmark. Instead, I want you to fly to his base at the moon of Ashab II and find him on your own. I'm sure you won't have any trouble. |
The trip requires a few hi-sec jumps to Ashab II - Moon 1. When you warp to the area, you are placed some distance away from an unnamed and unmarked site inhabited by a few friendly mercenaries and Mamin Choonka. He will be your agent for a chain of four missions, after which you will receive Choonka's Coordinates needed for the current mission. Note that you have to be within 100km of the agent to start conversation.

Now that depends entirely upon the source, Hirmis Pine. But yes, I might have something available. It depends on whether you're willing to risk your neck or not. My assignments involve fighting ... lots of it. If you're looking for something more on the lines of dung-hauling, I suggest you look elsewhere.
Your first job involves taking on a group of rogue drones that have for some god-forsaken reason decided to infest my storage facility in Ashab. Destroy all of them, and then report back to me. |

You did well against artificial intelligence, I'll give you that. But can you cut it against living opponents? Your next assignment is to destroy a pirate convoy carrying illegal goods into Ashab. You might ask, "how did you find out about this convoy?" The answer is that I ordered the goods myself. Through a contact, of course ― I would never reveal my true identity to those bastards.
Destroy the convoy, and bring the database from one of the ships to me if you manage to find one intact. I need to present it to the authorities so that we might trace their travel route to its origin and eliminate their drug factory for good. |

Your third and final mission for me is to eliminate a group of rogue Khanid pilots in Ashab. I entrusted them with some very confidential information, and they've repaid my trust by trying to blackmail me. Once you've reduced their ships to slag, report back to me. But don't forget to search the wreckage of their ships just incase they leave something behind, such as notes or any data concerning me. I don't want the authorities to trace their deaths back to me. That would cause some, er, unfortunate complications.
Magnificent!! You passed the test, <Capsuleer>. Nice work. Not only have you shown that you can handle yourself in combat, but you've also proven yourself to be reliable under ... "difficult" circumstances. I now truly believe I can trust you. |

Yes, in fact. One last errand for you, <Capsuleer>. I'd like you to pick up some potential new recruits from the academy in Chaven. Once that has been completed, I'd like you to meet a very special person in the Khanid Kingdom. You'll find her at the coordinates listed in this data disc. Once she has gotten to know you better, you might have a very promising career ahead of you within the ranks of the Khanid Traditionalist Movement. |
A simple courier mission. Pick up the mercenaries and bring them to the agent.
You can now return to Arizam Gimit and complete the rest of his mission chain.

I've had a sinking suspicion for quite some time now that I'm being followed. I kept seeing the same mysterious man behind the corner whenever I turned my head. It was getting quite antagonizing. I work for the Khanid secret-service, so I notice these things quite well ...
Anyway I had the man's ship bugged, and we tracked him down to guess where ... Mamin Choonka's diner. Obviously Choonka has somehow gotten a hold of my identity, and probably wants me killed. I suspect they will strike after I leave the station. Which leaves me in a sort of a dilemma, as I have to meet with my superiors soon for a meeting in Khanid space. To make things easier for me, I would like you to take care of these pests. That should clear the way for me to leave the station for a while. I will give you the exact coordinates for their ships, as we still have one of them bugged. |
